Getting out of the airport in Riyadh

Riyadh Metro Line 4 runs into King Khalid International Airport with a separate station for each terminal cluster, but the only travel window RCRC has published is 6:00 am to midnight.

King Khalid International Airport reallocated its terminals between 16 and 25 February 2026. Terminals 1 and 2 now take the national carriers' international flights, Terminals 3 and 4 their domestic flights, and Terminal 5 foreign carriers' international flights. Operating for a non-Saudi airline normally puts you at Terminal 5.

Line 4, the Yellow Line, runs 29.5 km along King Khalid International Airport Road and opened to passengers on 1 December 2024. The official RCRC network map shows three separate airport stations, Airport T1-2, Airport T3-4 and Airport T5, so use the one matching your terminal rather than walking between them.

Fares are sold as time-based passes, not by distance. A standard pass is SAR 4 for two hours, SAR 20 for three days, SAR 40 for seven days and SAR 140 for 30 days. First class is SAR 10 for two hours. Children aged six or younger travel free. RCRC notes that passes expire at the end of the operational day.

RCRC gave the travel window as 6:00 am to midnight in the announcement opening the Red and Green lines. Its FAQ and its line-opening schedule announcement give no hours at all and point riders to the Darb app for timings. Treat a late-night arrival or a pre-dawn pickup as road transport only, and check the app before you plan around a train.
