1. The service
2. Accounts
Employer accounts must be created by an authorised representative of the employing entity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misrepresent the employer or that post fraudulent listings.
Job seekers can subscribe to alerts and save jobs with an email address. Accounts can be closed at any time.
3. Posting jobs
Posts are reviewed before publication. We accept postings for genuine open roles only. Posts must not contain:
- Discrimination on protected characteristics.
- Requests for payments, deposits, or training fees from candidates.
- Misrepresented salary, location, or contract terms.
- Roles that are not genuinely open, or listings reposted from another employer’s careers page.
Approved posts go live for 30 days and can be renewed. We may reject or remove any posting at our discretion.
4. Cost
Posting a job is free. There is no fee, no card required, and no paid placement or promoted-listing tier. We do not process payments and we do not collect payment details from employers or job seekers.
If we ever introduce a paid tier, it will not apply retroactively to posts made under these terms, and we will give notice before it takes effect.
5. Content licence
You grant The Skylane a non-exclusive licence to display, format, and distribute the content of your posts on the service and in related communications (newsletters, search indexes, etc.) for the duration of the post plus a reasonable archive period.
6. Editorial content
Articles published by The Skylane are AI-drafted and human-reviewed. They are intended as practical guides and do not constitute legal, financial, or career advice. Verify regulatory and contract details with the relevant authority or your employer.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape the service or harvest job seeker email addresses.
- Interfere with the service, bypass rate limits, or attempt to gain access to data you are not authorised to see.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is. We make no warranty about candidate suitability, employer responsiveness, or outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The service is provided free of charge and no fees are payable to us.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security or legal risk. Where we terminate an account without cause, any live posts stay published for the remainder of their 30-day run.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai.
