Eating near the crew hotels in Bangkok

Yaowarat (Chinatown) is the street-food district and runs as a night market every evening; MRT Wat Mangkon puts you in the middle of it.

Yaowarat Road in Chinatown is the street-food area the Tourism Authority of Thailand itself flags: restaurants inside buildings plus stalls set up along the road, with a fresh-food market alongside.

It operates as a night market every night, with food shops on both sides of Yaowarat Road and in the side alleys — an evening outing, not a lunch one.

Access is easy without a taxi: MRT Blue Line to Wat Mangkon station, or numerous city buses along Yaowarat Road.

The road is also the venue for Chinese New Year (January) and the Vegetarian Festival (around October) — expect the district to be packed during those weeks.
