Singapore Airlines at a glance

Singapore Airlines is an airline based at Changi (SIN), Singapore.

Recruitment is running now: 1 event in the next 30 days, for cabin crew, in Kuala Lumpur. Singapore Airlines advertises on its own careers site, which is where a vacancy usually appears first. Pay below is the Asia-Pacific benchmark rather than a carrier-level scale. Asia-Pacific splits sharply between registered enterprise agreements, mostly Australian and lodged with the Fair Work Commission, and first-party recruitment material elsewhere, and the note on each row says which it is.

Notes and caveats

GROSS and taxed in Singapore, with employee CPF contributions deducted from gross for citizens and PRs. No housing, schooling or transport allowances; this is a local Singapore package, not an expat one, and Singapore Airlines states crew are 'based in Singapore with an initial 5-year contract'. Contract currency SGD; converted at USD/SGD 1.279137, FX date 10 August 2026. The airline's own wording: 'Upon graduation and the start of your flying duties, you will enjoy an attractive monthly salary package of approximately SGD 4,000 to SGD 5,000, inclusive of flight allowance based on hours flown.' That is SGD 4,000-5,000 a month, so the range here is the airline's own stated monthly figure annualised at twelve months (SGD 48,000-60,000). The page does not mention a thirteenth month, annual wage supplement or profit-sharing bonus, so none is included. Singapore Airlines has paid large profit-share bonuses in recent years and total cash can materially exceed this, but I did not source a figure and have not estimated one. IMPORTANT SCOPE LIMIT: this covers newly graduated flying crew only. Singapore Airlines publishes no scale for Leading Steward/Stewardess, Chief Steward/Stewardess or Inflight Supervisor, and the widely circulated senior figures come from unsourced aggregator sites, so no senior or purser figure is offered here. The training-period salary is described only as 'a basic salary' with no amount given.
