Getting out of the airport in Muscat

Taxis and the Mwasalat bus stand are both on Level 0 now; nothing walks from this airport.

All of Muscat

Airport taxi services at Muscat International were relocated to Level 0, effective 7 December 2025. Follow the updated signs to the Taxi Services Counter and the new Taxi Station; taxis previously worked from the taxi area just outside the main terminal building on Level 1.

Public buses operated by Mwasalat run from the bus station on the ground floor, Level 0, outside the airport building, so the bus and the taxi station are now the same walk.

OmanTaxi is licensed by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology to provide transport from Muscat International, and is the operator permitted by the government to run the Airport Pick-up Service there. The trip price is calculated from the distance travelled from the airport to the destination and may include an airport booking service fee; the amounts shown in the app after the trip are approved by the ministry.

Muscat runs west to east along the coast. The airport is at the Seeb end, Al Khuwair and Qurum are the nearer districts, and Ruwi and Mutrah are at the far end, so pick the district before you get in the car.
